ImageClinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates has been developed by physiotherapists to en training of functional stability by progressing static stability into dynamic stability. Drawing on the original work of Joseph Pilates the programme has been refined to improve safety and highlight the components valid in stability training and injury diagnosis and management.
This class uses the principles of traditional Pilates including centering, control and breathing. It is aimed at strengthening functional movements and postural muscles, correcting body alignment and improving balance.
With small, closely supervised groups, you will be learning an individual Pilates programme that is addressing your specific needs and deficits.
Maximum 5 Participants

ImageCore Fit

Core Stability refers to the central area of the trunk, around the lumbar spine. It is the area of transfer of force and energy from the lower half of the body to the upper parts of the body and vice versa. If the core is not solid, stabilisation is not achieved and transfer of energy is inefficient.Poor stabilisation leads to a risk of back pain, knee, ankle, hip and shoulder injury.

The class aims to improve general postural awareness and introduce the concept of core strengthening and lumbo-pelvic stability. This class involves a series of exercises which includes clinical pilates matwork , general hip strengthening and ball work. Appropriate for all age groups and all levels of fitness.
Maximum 6 participants
