ImageGeoff is a very experienced Sports Physician with a background in the RAAF, Flying Doctor Service and general medicine.

He is and has been Medical Director of Alice Springs Masters Games since 1986 and Arafura Games since 1991.

Geoff’s professional interests professionally are very broad, having treated all sports for many years both in coverage, treatment and prevention. Prevention programs are one of his specialties in active people or those wishing to be active.

As a specialist in Sports and Exercise Medicine, Geoff is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sports Physicans.

  • Consultant Medical Officer for the Australian Paralympic Committee, Summer and Winter Games
  • He has been the consultant to the Northern Territory Institute of Sport
  • Has been team doctor to the Australian Men’s Hockey team
  • Chief medical officer to V8 Super cars in Darwin 1999-2009
  • Sports Physician at 2000 Sydney Olympics and Paralympics 2008
  • 1st president and Foundation member of Sports Medicine Australia (Currently vice president and publicity officer)
  • Consulting in Darwin and Alice Springs since 1990

Interests:
  • Family
  • Keen cyclist- 250km+/week, competing in Alice Masters
  • Bushwalking /Trekking in Nepal and Malaysia
  • Travel
  • Snow Skiing
  • Certified Scuba Diver
  • Aviation Pilot- Aviation Examiner, Commercial Pilot

Availability:
We are booked out for approximately a month in advance at our Darwin Clinic. However, understanding the nature of Sports Medicine, we will do our best to accommodate acute sporting injuries.
